John WANG

A Nuclear Popular Science Writer

Wang graduated from the Department of Civil Engineering at National Taiwan University, and earned a Ph.D. in Environmental Engineering and Radiation Protection from Northwestern University in the United States. With over forty years of professional experience spanning industry, government, academia, and research, he has served as a visiting expert for the Atomic Energy Council, Director of the Chicago Science Division and executive secretary of the Environmental Development Committee in the National Science Council, as well as a nuclear safety specialist at the U.S. National Laboratories and within the American nuclear energy industry. He has also taught at institutions including NTU (Civil Engineering and Public Health), NCKU, China Medical University, NTUT, NCCU, Tamkang University, and YunTech.

An amateur writer with a passion for words, he has served as editor-in-chief for several science and technology publications. He was awarded in the inaugural Popular Science Literature competition held by the National Science Council.
